Yahoo Lost All Credibility With Mixed Martial Arts?

The switch from MMA to UFC in the Yahoo caption shows that Yahoo is in bed with the UFC promotion. While it is the strongest promotion out there Strikeforce is a legitimate competitor that has a shot in the market. Kevin Iole is basically the UFC cheer-leader for Yahoo. While other Leagues from other sports are captioned, NOT a promotion. It would be like Yahoo using Golden Boy Boxing rather than Boxing.

Without a doubt it should say MMA not UFC but Dana and his crew have the deepest pockets so you know how it goes…..

Americans do not say MMA. They say UFC. Like Band-Aid instead of Bandage.

I agree with the other posters. UFC is the face of MMA in the United States. From a marketing perspective, I think that will be more successful than trying to make it generic.

Perhaps, but more importantly,, I’d like to see MMA in it’s own category. This way all the arm-chair couch potato t.v. viewing fans can submit questions amongst their colleagues and martial art practitioners don’t have to be bothered by questions like "Who would win in a fight,Blah blah blah or blah blah blah"
