Would I Win if I Lifted Weights Lots or Started Mma Training. Which Would I Win in a Fight With?
if i fought a tough guy that was pretty big but didn’t do any mma training but was big and strong guy. which would help me beat him….
weight lifting or kung fu or karate??
Lift weights with an eye toward making your fighting more effective. There was this guy named Bruce back in the 60s who did that, and some people still remember him.
martial arts over weight lifting, weight lifting is great and all but technique beats size and strength 99 percent of the time. Join a local mma gym, or boxing gym whatever and start training. I recommend doing MMA because you’ll be learning and training in various martial arts systems usually wresting, boxing, muay thai, and brazilian jiu jitsu.
I’d do both, why not?
Martial arts teaches you fighting aspect, body building makes you huge and slow. Do the math.
If I where you I would try both, with more emphasis on Martial Arts.
Weight Lifting mainly alters your body structure, and makes your muscles larger which means they can "take" big weight but only for a certain amount of "reps".
Martial Arts and plyometrics help make your muscles strong but not exactly large. You Probably wont be able to "take" as much weight but you can explode on weight faster.
This means that you create a bigger force because of how quick your muscle is able to contract and perform an action.
So in a fight you will be faster, have more stamina, and be able to land some pretty good hits with ease REPEATEDLY!
If:
The guy is tough and big but no martial art experience.
You are big and tough and you have pretty good martial art experience.
You have a 95% chance to beat him because you have one advantage over him.
If:
The guy is big and tough but no martial art experience.
You are big but tough and have no martial art experience.
You have a 50% chance of beating him because you two are even in chance.
If:
The guy is big and tough but no martial art experience.
You are not big and not tough but you have pretty good martial art experience.
You have a 35% chance of beating him because you have two disadvantage.
If:
The guy is big and tough but no martial art experience.
You are small and not tough and have no martial art experience.
You’re dead.
But, seriously, please don’t pick a fight with anybody. Specially those big and tough guys.
Thank you for not getting into fights.
