This is the full video of Tim Sylvias embarassing 9 second knockout from Ray Mercer at Addrenaline III held at the Birmingham Jefferson Civic Center on June 13th. You can see Tim is still on queer street after trying to roll over to his feet to get up. He also says a few choice “F” bombs after finally getting to his feet as he’s looking into the crowd. Looks like he needs to go back to MMA and try some small local shows to see if he can get a win again. After two definative first round knockouts, both in less than 45 seconds, his career is deffinately on the downhill side of things. I wish the “Maine”iac the best of luck in his future matches, one can only hope that he just survives them! Tim, you held the belt, you never will again, retire while your brain still works. After the money you made from the last two fights, 0000 against Fedor, and 0000 for 9 seconds against Mercer, to get destroyed, you’ll be lucky to make 000 next much less the millions you were expecting once you became a top ten heavyweight. . . lol!!!!

@matozzo98 What you say is a bunch of crap. Sylvia isn’t a right example of that. Sylvia was washed up and sucked big time. Fedor isn’t a boxer yet did exactly the same to him.
MMA fighters can punch just as hard and just as good, its been proven with studies.
its just that punching in MMA is very different than punching in a boxing match.
BTW that same Mercer got his ass whooped in a minute by Kimbo Slice who isn’t even among the C level fighters in MMA.

MMa fighter’s punches are not as crisp, they bring their punches back a lot slower then boxer do, they don’t take advantages of countering punching opportunities the way the way a boxer can. Not because they are inferior athletes but because when they train they have to train for everything not just punching and they can’t specialize like a boxer can.

@misterblague01 Sylvia is wahed up????? Mercer must be going on 50, he wasn’t young when he won in the 1988 Olympics.
Also, this was Mercer’s first pro MMA fight, and he only had 2 days notice. His fight against Kimbo was just an exhibition.

Power is the last thing to go so even a 60-70 year old man he still has whats called ol man strength. Tim shouldve took him down for a little while till Ray gassed then knocked Mercer out but instead he played to Mercers strengths. Had Tim used his MMA training wed be looking at a totally different video rite now guaranteed.

@matrixlone Depends on who taught you, some MMA fighters have textbook boxing punches. Of course in MMA, a lot of times you have to apply those punches in a different manner than boxing match.
only Fedor can fight against boxer because he is only fighter who has power and quickness like a boxer .UFC fighters are to slow to fight against boxers and they don’t have technique to deal with them.
@matthew10580 sorry for the late response. i just realized you responded to my post. the fight was in 1998 in brazil. not every single fight is telsvised. when and where did Anderson Silva say that fight never happen? MMA columists often referance his 2nd round boxing loss back when he was campaigning to fight roy jones. and no i don’t think any boxing organization would post it all over the web to trash silva because THEY ARE TWO DIFFERENT SPORTS.
