POLL, SURVEY, this is for school and about UFC.?
I personally love UFC and i am obsessed with MMA, so when i was assigned a 7 page research paper, i immediately chose UFC. here is where you come in, i’ve decided to take a poll to see what other people think of this sport.
UFC = ultimate fighting championship
MMA = Mixed Martial Arts
Do you think the increasing popularity of UFC, is influencing the youth? in a good or bad way?
Do you think the increasing popularity of UFC is actually helping with the decline of school fights? why or why not.
I think it is influencing the youth. I suppose whether it’s in a good or bad way depends on what you think good and bad is. You could make an argument that any violent sport negatively influences people, but that doesn’t negate the fact that some people find the sports interesting, so watching the sports gives people something to do and provides them entertainment. Good and bad with regards to the influence things have people tend to be subjective, so I couldn’t answer that part with any reasonable authority.
I haven’t looked into the statistics involving school fights, so I couldn’t say with any confidence one way or another. If I had to guess though, I think the increased popularity of MMA would most likely lead to an increase in school fights. If one of the main sources of entertainment people get is from watching violence, I don’t think it’d be a big stretch to expect a slight (or maybe not so slight) increase in violent behavior.
