MMA Training and Sparring?

I would like to start training for MMA and sparring too.
My bf is a personal trainer and made me a work-out routine but since I have no money to pay for a gym membership I am stuck using the crappy equipment at my apartment building. Also since I cant get a gym membership I cant practice my sparring and I lack motivation because of this.
So can any one help? And, is there anyone living in Minnesota that would want to spar (preferably female)?

Thanks!

I can’t help you with a female sparring partner in MN, but don’t fret about the training.

You don’t need much equipment to get into shape. It would be great if you had a heavy bag and mats, but that’s just for the MMA.

You can always shadow box. You can even punch & kick a towel suspended on a string. On that note, tie a string around the middle of a stick and suspend that from a ceiling. Then hit the stick with another stick and try to avoid getting hit back. It’s fun!

You may want to look up MovNat and bodyweight exercises on Google. While you’re at it, Google interval training and Tabata protocol too. Very good for martial arts.

    Hope you find a partner!

Over at bullshido.net if you post in the newbie forum someone will almost certainly be able to find you an inexpensive gym or some workout partners. We have members all over the world and plenty in Minnesota, including some of the top female fighters in the country.

MMAXOUT fitness is taking the industry by storm by helping participants get in shape fast. Similar to boot camps, MMAXOUT incorporates MMA concepts into the workout to build better bodies.
