MMA Training and Getting Into the UFC?

Hey guys. I’ve been training MMA since I was 14 and I decided then that I want to be a UFC fighter but I already know I can’t just jump into it. I gota train and train and get a few fights under my belt before I’m ready. I have some experience in the ring. I’ve been doing muay thai since I was 7 and I also do BJJ, judo, and Ive been doing wrestling for 2 years now so I have some MMA experience and I currently train at Lloyd Irvin’s if anyone’s heard of that MMA school before. If not then look it up on youtube. It’s a really good school and they think I’d do pretty good in the UFC. Anyone got any tips on how to get into the UFC and how I get pro fights to work up getting into the UFC? Thanks.
Also something else I’m going to mention is that I have really really good stamina/cardio, whatever you want to call it. And yes Ron Brandon Vera trains here.
Lloyd, are you the actual real Llyod Irvin? Because I train at crazy 88 BJJ in elkridge

Win the state championship in wrestling in your state. Win NAGA submission grappling tournaments. Win amateur MMA fights. Win ten or so pro MMA fights. Beat a legit fighter who has fought in the UFC, without losing any other fights, except maybe 1.

Also, be naturally talented, skilled, quick, strong, cardio, ect. And don’t get injured. Good luck. Set short term goals first, ex- win a grappling tourney, before long term.

Find a promoter who is looking to do split cards, professional and amateur. If you’ve gotten 3 amateur fights under your belt, you can go professional. If you live around New England, try checking out the "Burlington Brawl" website. You’ll find all the information you need to get into amateur and professional fights from there. Basically you need to rack up some fights and get recognition, once that happens, promoters will call.

    1) Get a winning professional MMA record.

    2) Negotiate a contract with the UFC.

    Good luck!

You live in the DC Area too (I’ve heard of Lloyd Irvin BTW)?! Alright here’s some steps to get into the UFC.

    1. Join an amateur MMA league
    2. Fight as much as you can to get experience (also win while you’re at it).
    3. Once you get enough experience and wins, join a professional league.
    4. Keep fighting and winning in the pros! The more you win, the more you’ll get recognized.
    5. Since Team Lloyd Irvin is a well-known MMA camp, Dana White might come over to check you out if you’ve done step 4.
    6. If Dana White likes you and wants you to fight in the UFC, you are now officially a UFC Fighter.
    7. Once Dana tells you who you’re gonna fight, train hard, eat healthy, be motivated and most of all… WIN!!!

BTW Have you seen Brandon Vera train at Lloyd Irvin because that’s his training camp.

EDIT: That’s pretty awesome training with a UFC Fighter.

The first thing you would need to do is come and let me know you want to fight. Next if you’re serious you would need to train with our fight team. We have lots of new guys and am guys training for fights. I’m not sure who you are but our pro’s and ams spar every mon, wed and fri.
