Mixed Martial Arts Ny City

Wing Chung Schools or martial arts schools for people who aren’t all that “big”?
I live in USA in the state of NY and the city of Hilton, and I’ve looked online a bit and cant seem to find any Wing Chung schools that are near my general area that wont take me 3-4 hours to go to that i could check out. I don’t know if there are and my i over looked it while I was reading online. If anyone can give me some help it would be greatly appreciated.
Wing Chung i think looks quite interesting but if there are other styles that are more aimed twords smaller individuals i would like to check out as well. What I kind of want to learn is for people who i guess are small, now i don’t me like midget small but i mean who aren’t like military huge. Sorry if i seem unclear i just can find a good way to put it.
I have read a bit but its a lot of mixed answers. I just want to know what you’re guys opinions of the matter might be for a fighting style aimed more twords smaller individuals rather that larger (not meaning fat).
Again thanks in advance for your responses.
In all my experiences, size doesn’t necessarily matter when it comes to sparring, and certainly not while performing kata. If you’re willing to put in the dedication to a “hard” training style (like kyokushin or goju ryu, where you actually build muscle as part of the martial art) then height or build won’t particularly affect your performance.
But you also need to keep in mind that martial arts aren’t about going out to kick butt. Even after being a high belt in 3 martial arts and spending at least 5+ years dedicated to each, I bet Mike Tyson would annihilate me in a direct confrontation. This being said, perhaps you should try a “grappling” art like aikido where short leverage would actually be an advantage. Good luck!
