Medicine Ball Core Techniques for Punching Power MMA, www.ProFightNetwork.com

    is dropping a 12 pound ball on tense abs really a good idea?
    i understand it can help train for a good hit the gut but wouldnt that be bad for you

    When stressed, your body responds to the stimuli by better equipping itself. By subjecting it to the stress of taking a blow, it will adapt to do so better.

    That’s my take on it at least. Whether it actually works out like that, I dunno.

    @nickforsberg flamingpyroman is almost completely correct in his statement that subjecting any part of the body to stress helps it adapt. personally I do have someone punch me lightly while I do burpies, it helps mentally more than physically but if you are not expecting to fight you don’t need to do this! hope we helped!
