Joe Schilling vs Kaoklai Kaennorsing at M-One Grand October 21st 1st Round KNOCKOUT
Los Angeles native Joe Schilling proves that Americans can compete and win at the highest level of Muay Thai. He knocks down his Thai Opponent Kaoklai three times in the first round to earn the KO victory. Intro sound clip: Bliss n Eso feat. Xzibit, “People Up On It”
@Emilo998 “embarrassingly” to watch? Before you criticize a real fighter, try and correct your grammar mistakes. If by this “county jail” thing, you mean his walk out clothes. It represents our gym The Yard.
Before criticizing all the nationalism look into why this fight was put together in the first place. The fights in this event were thai vs american for a reason.
@krnguy03 What does grammar mistakes has to do with criticize a fighter ?
Yeah he won, by KO.. and got the belt. But we are watching a angry guy throwing punches with no control on a much smaller kaoklai. Congratz to the win
Smaller Kaoklai? You mean, “The Giant Killer” right?? They both weighed in @ 174lbs, so whats your point? Joe Schilling is a ranked thai boxer in the USA, he was 2 WBC National titles, now a World title!! So how is it that he doesnt know Muay Thai? Its sorry ass “FANS” like you who dont know Muay Thai… If youre from the states, then you should educate yourself w/current events in regards to thai boxing in the US.
@Emilo998 I have a question for you. Would you throw punches with control after you see your opponent hurt? Your comments don’t make sense. Should Joe feel out Kaoklai like the Thais do on the first round or go for the kill? If Joe was the bigger fighter it’s Kaoklai’s fault as he can make weight at lower weight classes. The day of the weigh in, both fighters weighed the same. If he had no problem fighting Mighty Mo, then what’s the big deal here?
Joe knows Muay Thai! That’s a fact. He trained with Samart Pakakarun in Thailand and other legends. Kaoklai is truly the biggest competition that Thailand could give Joe as there are not much Thai fighters at that weight. Now as far as what the world could give Joe, that’s another question. Everyone mentions Artem Levin of Russia, but I say Tyrone Spong of Holland/Surinam might present the mountain that Joe wants to climb. Good thing is Joe is all for climbing mountains.
@jeremyshambles I doubt you cry this much when other countries cheer for their fighters, you pathetic hypocrite.
the fight was btw 2 diff weight fighters …..??????
Just my opinion , Perhaps he train with Samart but i don t things samart learn him like this Cos he was a great Fighter and a good Trainer i know he learn true muay Thai with Style , this fight is no muay Thai , if you know Muay Thai , You see. I not criticizing Joe , good for him if he win like this .He win Belt to which Federation , only famous Belt for Muay thai is in Thailand WMC in stadium Radja or Lumpinee ,
This is here to fight to muay thai not USA or Europe I regret to see that , coz if he go train Thailand why not come with style like Nak Muay
Proves Americans can compete and win at the highest level of Muay Thai? Since when is a washed up, lazy, not giving a shit Kaoklai the highest level of Muay Thai? Props to Joe on the win but I can’t stand false shit like this.
@karijrasta I don’t understand your criticism. How is it that Joe should be fighting? If he’s relentless like Buakaw or Ramon Dekkers, then it’s not Muay Thai? Then what’s their style? I thought if you compete under Muay Thai rules, you’re a Muay Thai practitioner. If a foreigner is fighting a Thai, he should go for the kill or else his chances of winning are slim if it goes to the judges’ score cards.
@enigma562 Yes i practice if you think it is a really good fight to muay thai up to you i give just my opinion i not criticism fighter i just say no t true muay thai and i answer yes you can win in thailand with card judge , but not like this . about style next every fighter have style , but not like this i prefer this also kevin have more style
huge siz difference. really hard to beat traditional thai fighters in points so going after him with hard punches was his best bet at winning. also slackest fucking ropes ever. who set up that ring?
Yes it s hard to win in traditioanl Muay thai but if you do it s for this.
Actually, just so you guys know Joe Schilling agreed to a fight at 168, but Kaoklai said he was not able to make the weight at 168 so Joe agreed to 175. The size difference you are talking about here is just different body types.
And as far as I see, there’s no street brawling here. Joe caught him 3 times very cleanly and would take a high level of skill to pull off on an opponent like Kaoklai. A lot more clean than the sloppy haymakers that Kaoklai was throwing at 2:34.
@Scurgar well, you shouldn t cry, keep calm and carry on ol cork
@mattzilch1 I read Schilling was close to 200 when they fought. Nothing to do with body types at all. Apart from Schilling body is miles bigger than Kaoklai’s. He should fight someone his own size.
Make sure you watch Inside the Fight with Joe, Romie Adanza, and Kevin Ross here on youtube. The videos were made as a lead in to the M-One Grand Muay Thai fight on Oct. 21st!
Headbutt at 1:33 btw
@Internetpolice666 Kaoklai has been fighting people way bigger than Joe. I think the difference is Kaoklai thought it was going to be a slow start. With that, not even more training would have prepared him for that fast onslaught unless he knew Joe was coming that fast. Kaoklai fought Ignashov, Hong Man Choi, Mighty Mo, Tyrone Spong. He is no stranger to bigger guys. He just wasn’t ready for the fast attack.
Kaoklai has fought in k-1 with the heavy weights their so i don’t know why people are bring up weight in this. he lost that’s that live with it!!
@kinghades With the exception of Might Mo and a pale imitation of himself Ignashov, he lost to almost all the much bigger guys he fought. And just because he agreed the fights, doesn’t make it right.
dirty headbutt by schilling
