Is 16 Years Old Too Old to Plan a Mixed Martial Arts Career?

I’m looking to study pure aspects like going to Muay Thai gyms and BJJ gyms rather than just going straight to a Mixed Martial Arts gym and I’m looking to do this for a few years, is it too late?

No, you are not too old, you are very young.

No it’s not too late. You can train Muay Thai and BJJ till age of 20 then change so something else for a few months like judo and taek won do(just for better leg techniques) and you are ready.

Certainly not too late, your still young. If you put the time and dedication into it then anything is possible. I’d advise starting one style at the start and dedicate yourself to learning that art (striking or grappling). Then after your comfortable add another style.

Have a look at Remy Bonjasky. He started training when he was 18 years old and went on to become a three time K-1 World Grand Prix champion.

Well good luck with a MMA career, you get paid nothing unless unless you’re the top 15 MMA fighters in the world.

Any age before 20 is very good time to start.

No, alot of people dont start training till early 20s. BJ Penn started BJJ at 14 and didnt start training MMA till he was 18 or 19

No, just train until your coach thinks you can fight. If you win, go on to the next one.
