Any style can help relative to what ranges it teaches as long as the training methods for those fighting ranges are done correctly. But I’d choose Krav Maga. Its only goal is to teach you how to defend yourself. Krav isn’t a sport, its a dirty tactics fighting system. In KM its all about taking your opponent out as quickly and brutally as possible. No rules, no ring, no ref. It’ll teach you how to defend yourself against guns, knives and always multiple opponents. You will learn to seriously injure, or kill, your opponents while avoiding the serious injury they are trying to cause you. Krav Maga is good for getting mugged, raped, or murdered. There are many holds, throws, and submissions from which to choose. For this reason, I’d say that Krav Maga is better in any real-life situation; with the wider arsenal provided by Krav Maga training, you can use your own discretion to decide whether you should break the guy’s arm and run away, hold him until the police arrive, or knock him out. It’s used by the IDF and we all know EVERYONE in Israel has to serve in the army – men and women.

Capoeira isnt at the top of my list. As soon as you put your weight on your hands and arms you leave yourself open for punishment. If you throw your weight into their motion it not only screws it up but it completely throws their entire rhythm off! Its hard to get into a "groove" when someone has hold of you on the ground, the last thing you want. The striking is good though. The basics aren’t much different from other arts, and that’s what you’re more than likely to use. Stick to the basics…but it’s not advisable against someone skilled. It has grappling elements, but it’s not a complete grappling art like Judo, jujutsu, or BJJ. If u want to learn it, it wouldnt hurt. My advice is you should cross-train, especially if you think Krav Maga doesn’t have enough ground-fighting for your needs. There’s a chance you could be injured by tomorrow, but all of those can help you in the end w/a good school.

I’d say a good one is a mix of brazillian jiu jitsu and muay thai or sanda. Krav Maga is a good one too. But I’ve never personally done it…NOT CAPOEIRA!! its play fighting…not even for movies that much either but just like traditional play fighting.

well that mostly depends on what the person teaching you is trying to teach you. look around find what you like. better than the style "often" is the training and your dedication

out of those four i highly suggest krav maga for several reasons. Firstly krav maga’s "slogan" if u wish is, take ur enemy down as fast as possible. krav maga uses only usefull moves which are very effective. Krav maga if u want gets straight to the point. Ju-jitsu is good for grappling but for that u would need to weigh quite a bit and be good on the ground for best advantage. but in a real fight the thing u WANT to avoid is being on the ground. Karate is based on strikes and capoeira is just a form of dance which requires a huge amount a muscles (of which you’d only use maybe half in a real fight) i hope i answered your question but then again i believe that ninjutsu would be the best to learn ;)

Learn what you have available in your area. Every major city has martial arts schools. Krav Maga ain’t all that. If you want the best you will have to relocate.
Brazilian Jujitsu is okay for grappling.
Wing Chun is for trapping range
    Boxing is for punching range
    Muay Thai for kicks
For real life self defense Kung Fu San Soo and
    Cabales Serrada Escrima

Personally I would go for the Capoeira. Just because I have never studied it in the past and there are no schools for it in my area. Any one of these arts should be fine for what you want.
    Go for it
    Good luck
