How Should I Get Started in Mixed Martial Arts (MMA)?

I want to start fighting. I am a bit overweight, I am 5’9" 195. How should I start and what fighting technique should I use, and please tell me any other tips or advice you have.

You should start out by doing kickboxing; it will help help you turn fat into muscle or even lose some weight. After that you should do some muay thai, brazilian jiu-jitsu, and some grappling to get used to basic fighting styles in MMA.

go to a MMA gym. they will train you in everything. if you can’t find one who does MMA than i would suggest boxing or muay thai.

how old are you if you are in school you should join a wrestling team it has a ton of advantages but the best it has that none of the other bases have is weight you have to get used to cutting weight and knowing what it does to your body. most fighters cut about ten of fifteen pounds if you dont know what your doing it will really mess you up
