Age limit on any MMA competition is 18 years old, so if you do train yourself on four more years, then you can compete on some amateur fights to let you started your plan.

Just focus on your training and have some sparring to enhance your ability, self confidence and control.

    Good luck

Think less about length of time, and more about quality of learning, skill, and natural athleticism. These are the aspects that determine how good of a fighter you will become. You have to be at least 18 to compete in anything that involves FULL CONTACT striking. My suggestion would be to do grappling competitions if you really want to compete in something that will benefit you before you compete in mma.
