man u would be doing really well if u were 2 last even 1 round against a thai boxer! kick boxing and thai boxing are completely different styles.1 object in muay thai-destroy your opponent!

N00b…….Ok…. this isn’t a fight it’s pad training. The reason he keeps his hands to his side is to maximize power. I find my arms drop to my side too when I kick but alright: Why don’t you make a demo video of how you’d take advantage of this blokes alledged “poor form.”

Here you have, a cookie! :)
This is what you get for understanding that everybody has the right to have an opinion, i expressed mine, you did the same with yours.
And no, i´m not going to make a video about “how good i am” because i´m really not that good. But i have the common sense for not putting my ass in a video doing stupid things. These guys didn´t, and that´s why we can share opinions about it and mine stands: This fighter has no skill whatsoever. I give him credit for the power, tho

When I’m coaching and my guys open their arms up on step knees i just pop em in the head. In response to the “maximizing power” it is possible to maximize your power without flailing your arms. Boil the movement down. Its your shoulders doing the counter rotation on the strikes so just move your shoulders freely but keep your hands where you can see them. No disrespect to Mr. Roufus what so ever, mans a genius.

the hand he drops when he kicks should cover his groin, his right hand should shift to the left side of his face

ye i noticed 2, he would get a switft kick in the face like that, especially since muay thai is very focused on the element of surprise.
    Peace

@synapse84 thats how you throw thai kick. hes not leaving his chin out, and snapping that hand down is what gives you power

This simulates not the kicking in fight,
if I kick the way how he describes, I
would always kick on my opponents
ellbows. The Pads have to be upright,
so he needs to turn his hips.
