Does Mixed Martial Arts Beat Any Ordinary Gangbanger That Does Streetfighting?
i do wrestling,boxing,jiujitsu,muay thai,sanshou kung fu,and some wingchun kungfu….and this is my mma style..do you think my style (mma) will beat any gangbanger that knows streetfighting?
im just curious
Styles don’t win fights, people do.
A trained person has an advantage over an untrained person. "Streetfighting" isn’t a codified martial art. It isn’t really a real thing. So theoretically, your training should give you advantage over someone who has trained in nothing, AKA "streetfighting".
A typical thug on the street can be disposed of easily by a GOOD well trained martial artist, BUT anybody can be knocked out and beaten on any given day.
It just depends on the situation.
You did mention those styles but fall in this section asking said question, you pull myself doubting that you avail enough skills, because if so, then having a training and sparring is enough things for you to know the good response on your inquiry.
Suppose you have those kind of knowledge, it mean you are on top beyond any other, why bother to fought those thugs, let yourself set as an example to others, value some whoever he is, everybody deserve to be respected.

first of all, that depends on you. its not quantity its quality. who cares how many martial art/discipline you trained under, are you good at any ONE of it? I dont mean to criticize I’m just making a point. If you do all these martial art but is at a basic level at all of it(meaning a level of which you cant actualy apply yet). The street thug will destroy you, atleast he focuses on ONE style(for lack of better word).
But yeah just generally speaking, you’ll kick 9 out 10 of there ass. considering they dont pull out a weapon or gun of course. it IS the street you see them in afterall isnt it?
but like the dude above me. set an example. Dont disgrace the art. If your a martial artist, keep it in the gym. dont sink to there level. a martial artist isnt the same as a fighter.
Well theres this thing call retribution. They will comeback with more people and usually with guns.
My advice to you is that it isn’t a card you want to play. People are very unpredictable and as skilled as you may be nothing is a certainty.
then you should know street fighters can be very dangerous, from incorporating numbers, dirty fighting something may not be use to, and any weapon available.
Ordinary gang guys draw their strength from numbers- they do not fight man to man
