CAGESIDE MMA Explosive Power Training
Valentin “El Tigre” Bueno and Israel “The Hurricane” Hernandez demo some Ring Lords Vale Tudo explosive training drills. Ring Lords fighters are pound for pound the strongest fighters in our area. We do a lot of functional strength training to give us a competitive edge. In the first technique, do sets of three to begin with, working your way up to five reps, then switch positions. Use your whole body to lift, keeping your head up. Get good at this, you will have a ridiculously strong core, and will be able to “Rampage” your opponents without fail. The second drill is a variation of a greco-roman wrestling lift drill. Same deal…use your whole body to lift. Get good at this, once again, your core will be rock solid, and you will have the explosive power to dump someone on their head in the ring.
