Boxing Hand Pad Speed Drills(for Mma,Muay Thai)
We were doing a muay thai session, when i decided to grab the speed hand pads and do some boxing drills.Thats why we dont have our boxing shoes on. These drills really bring out some nice attributes for the combat athlete, forcing the core to move the body and arms to position, then just the swing of the arm.
the student has excelent hand speed and timeing, and you are a wonderful coach, but his stance is too wide, its making him flat footed and keeping him grounded for too long, hell get caught hard though if he doesnt work his feet more.
But your the absolute best there is at what you do. much respect to you sir. and to your students. I wish i had a coach that good. I wish i had half of the speed and timeing your student has.
I completely agree with the comment below. you are an awesome trainer man, very envious of fighters that are privilaged enough to work with you. however if you fighter in the video competed in such a stance, he would be prone to taking heavy damage from leg kicks. still. very jealous
great stuff
@Roallen15 I would like to respond with a video, and put forth a concept i learned based on Dutch k1 style fighting.I used to think small lighter stance was key,but have learned thru experience that it is quite different.I look forward to your response to my video response.Thank you for your kind words.
