yes you probably are. what makes you think that you can simply become a professional fighter just b/c you train for even five years? start learning a martial art and stick to that for a while and then develop other skills and maybe eventually you will be able to compete on an amateur level

Not too old, conditioning will be more of a challenge than your age.

No. Randy Couture was in his 30′s for his first UFC fight. And 44 in his last. I’d say you have until 25 to take it serious. If you havent made it by 30, chances are, it’s not gonna happen.

Questions such as this makes me feel really antiquated ~laugh~

Provided that you do not have pre-existing physical condition such joint or back problems that would perhaps hinder your ability to practice and train. Then the answer is No its never too late to start training !. Believe it or not , age matters not in the martial arts. In Okinawa as well as other cultures, there are practitioners who are still training over the age of 80 years and beyond.

Getting involved in the martial arts at your age or even older, is one way to keep yourself in shape and who knows , might even slow down your aging process. ~smile~

You have the choice to train as mild or agressive as you like. As long as your are training , you will be doing just great. Training is better than no training ! Perhaps you may even learn skills that can save your life as well or the lives of someone else. You know what else ? You may even have a great time doing it !

    Good luck !
